Death & Respawn

When you die there is a brief wait, then you respawn. Civilians come back at the nearest hospital. Police on duty come back at the nearest police station.

By default you pay a $1,000 medical deductible (Mors Mutual texts you). Stronger medical cover can waive that. Illegal inventory may be lost before insurance applies.

Civilian respawns put you at the closest hospital. Grab medkits or armor from the hospital shop if you need them, then get back into the city.

If an officer kills someone who was not marked violent, that can count as wrongful death.

• The officer gets a Police Chief text with a fine.
• The victim gets a Lawyer text. Medical fees can be waived and a damage settlement paid out.
